sounds fun and I like the way they are mixing old with new artists ... many of these such articles lends appreciation to genres you normally do not follow...

Now if Carlos is coming around for tea does he take one lump or two.......Smile

What if they are doing both!

A result of 'research and development' is what has been produced - the actual products.

For selling products you need marketing, and things like the 'Living Room Tour' is marketing.

However - you are free to dislike Carlos/the music of Carlos - no one forces you to agree with the choice of the artist/s appearing in the 'Living Room Tour'.

@millemissen

Are you happy with the offer of B&O ? Unsure

Not for me. B&O is sleeping and becoming only a manufacturer of loudspeakers.

Look at the Bang & Olufsen's portfolio today !

Only 2 Audio System (the old BeoSound 5, a new BeoSound Essence - that dealers don't sale),

only 2 TVs BeoVision 11 and the New Avant.

No phones and no accessories anymore.

I am just asking myself how many thousand dollars those rich artists received from B&O ! Embarrassed

Last year, this Tour was with P. Mc Cartney. Did B&O sale more BeoLab 18 ? I can answer: No.

If B&O want new customers, it will be better to sale their products cheaper and made more Ads in Internet or magazines.

Just my point of view.

PS: I never wrote that I don't like Santanas or Paul Mc Cartney !  Big Smile

I think you are damned if you do and damned if you do not.

Traditional marketing including print is not working for many companies so they need to look at better ways of interacting with customers whilst transcending age groups, although I haven't got an answer I think B&O could do no harm than surveying us on here as apart from ownership and differing music tastes we must all run a "common-thread" why we are passionate about the brand.

I know we all have differing ideas on price points, but to me it is not about cost but about value which I feel are two different concepts.

We have a store in the UK with a brilliant saying "Never Knowingly Undersold"

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Yes I am happy with the offer of B&O!

You can always wish for more/for different things. I suppose, that Beoworlders never would agree on what to wish for - who is to decide then?

I am especially happy with what/with how much B&O has in the product line, because I know how hard it is for a relatively small company to make that happen!

 I see 3 tv's - I guess you don't count a BeoPlay product in.

I am not so sure 'we' need an audiosystem anymore.

The longer they wait launching the Moment', the less it will be needed - a BV is a fullblown audiosystem nowadays for most people. And the A8/A9 and even the A2 is for a lot of people 'enough' as a musicsystem..

'phones' - who need landline-phones anymore - too much to ask for from a small AV company, imo!

'accessoires' - what kind of?

There are new headphones - because people want/need them nowadays.

Enabling the A8/A9 as part of a multiroom system is, what I would wish for - and a 'new Active Link' based on NL for connecting the existing BL's.

In my comment, I deliberately speak of Bang Olufsen and not BeoPlay.

For me, the portfolio need a new high end audio system and a new small elegant TV.

I agree, something like the Beocenter 6-26 but bigger, with built in internet radio and beomaster 5 with MOTS and USB input. How good would that be!?!

It would be great if all TVs had a built in digital music device like a Beomaster 5 and use the screen of the TV.

BeoPlay is Bang & Olufsen, but distributed/marketed as a subbrand.

You count the V1 out, others count it in.

What should a 'new high end audio system' be like - for what would we/you need it/use it?

How small is a 'small elegant tv'?

All BV's do have a 'digital music device' built-in, and it uses the screen of the tv.

It more like the BS5Encore, since it draws on a remote mediaserver.

And there is a USB-input as well on those tv's.

Do you really mean, that they should built in an oldschool BS/BM5 combo in the tv - in order to have MOTS?

Nowadays most people go for streaming services, when it comes to music.

The Avant - in addition -  has NetRadio, which certainly would be on my wishlist for the other BV's as well.

The thing that's great about the Beovision 7 is that you had a complete system in one unit. You had a great TV, a CD/DVD player, and you had an amazing stereo speaker. The other great thing about it was you could have it in a size suitable for the living room, the bedroom, the study, etc. a few different sizes to suit different rooms.

Fast forward to now, and I don't think B&O produce a similair package..

A high end Audio System with NetLink and Multiroom system:

The expected Moment.

A new elegant TV from B&O with sizes for kitchen and small bedroom 26" or 32".

1: we don't know much of the functionality of the Moment yet.

2: I am afraid we won't see any more of those small tv's coming?

The demand for them worldwide is too small, and it is not possible to get the panels in the quality, that B&O needs, anymore.

N.B. I love my V1-32" Smile

Hi jonathan,

I love this idea. For the moment, I just bought a beautifull beocenter 6 26 on stand floor with dab and will have internet radio with the bm5 through masterlink and mlgw.

This beocenter 6 26 is so sexy on its stand.

4 beolab 5,  beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2,  2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

The thing I've always loved about Beovisions is the 'all in one' concept. Fantastic built in speakers, built in modules that you could add to the TV, and up to date media solutions built in. I've always loved how my TV is a complete solution.

Think the original Avant, the AV9000, the Beocenter 1 and the Beovision 7. You only need one item in your lounge room or bedroom

I think this picture sums it up:

Agree.

I still have a BC1 on a tall pole in my bedroom. Wonderful complete system.

These TV's can now probably be bought for £50 or less on eBay (although the tall pole might cost a lot more!)

Indeed - 'a tall pole in the bedroom' has longer lasting qualities than the tv Big Smile
