Interesting, although there is an artist’s backlash against Spotify.  Taylor Swift has just removed her entire back catalogue (it won’t keep me awake at night – I don’t think I could name a single track of hers!!)

I haven't bought from iTunes in two years, and now only use Spotify and Tidal.

The amount, and variety of music I listen too has magnified tenfold.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I remember the hoo-hah about MOTS when the BS5 was released, - does anyone have any comments regarding the supposed sophistication of selections of MOTS compared to the playlists/stations of Spotify etc?

Ban boring signatures!

yes this very interesting, it looks like the iTunes model maybe showing its age (but the report did say their respective iTune profits were up).

Personally I still struggle with Spotify and I can't understand why as I'm a huge consumer of music and still enjoy buying the physical as well as listening to radio.

But I do find it exciting as I've lived through vinyl, reel to reel, cassette, CD, Mini Disc and MP3.

I'm intrigued where we will be in the next 5 - 10 years but hope we don't loose any music because it's on a format we will not be able to read in the future.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
