When connecting the 2300 to the mains, ie without it having been in standby, all the radio and audio presets h

ave to be reset. No radio presets are available and the audio vol, treble, bass etc settings have to be re-adjusted. If the unit is left in stand-by mode they are fine when powering up the unit.

Is there an internal battery that needs replacing or is it a more sinister problem?

Regards

Welcome to Beoworld, Richard.

Yes - there is a lithium battery for backup. As you describe it, that seems to be the problem.

I can see that you have a silver membership, so you can download a service manual. I don't think there is one for the 2300 - but the one for the Ouverture should do it, when it comes to locating the battery.

As far as I know, it requires some soldering skills to replace it - so I hope you can solder. Or you know someone who can fix it.

Hope this was helpful.

Steffen
