Hi There,
I recently rediscovered my love for vinyls, and I decided to fix up a 4002 that I bought on Craigslist a while ago. I also thought it a good exercise before I tackle the 6000 that is in my queue.
IT turned out that I needed to replace the light bulb in the tracking sensor, and I did that with an LED (inspired by Menahem's great PDF that is posted on the internet). I went a slightly different route and did it with a 3D printed part that holds the LED. I made a video about the procedure. It is posted on my blog at:

Absolutely! LEDs are awesome! I want to see these units in service for another 30 years, so LEDs are clearly a way to go. Here is another one:

Of course, I also needed to implement some 3D printed parts into this Beogram 4002! May I present?: Stereo lithography printed bushings for the transport locks! Here is the video:

I am in need of some of those bushings.
Nice job with those bushings. I suspect that Harry could do well on this forum if he starting a bushing replacement business. Most of the bushings in these machines are most likely deteriorated.

I decided to take my Beogram 4002 still a bit further into the future after running out of light bulbs to replace...;-). I designed a plug-in remote control receiver that allows the control of the turntable with an Apple remote. I am so in love with my newly rebuilt keypad that I did not want to use it anymore it to preserve its looks for 'future generations'...;-). The remote also improves the cueing function of the turntable.

Hi Guys,
I printed another Beogram part with stereolithography: A MMC cartridge protector. Seems most are lost...So I can finally give my cartridges the protection they deserve..;-). Details are on my blog: http://beolover.blogspot.com/2015/02/bang-olufsen-mmc-cartridge-protector.html
Fantastic to see someone using 3D printing for all of these 'lost' parts. I am on the hunt for some covers for the SP range of cartridges. Got a fair few of them now, but none of which have covers!
Maybe 3D printing would be the answer!

I think that is absolutely doable, but one would need at least one original to take measurements...;-)
I designed a plug-and-play part that replaces the tracking sensor light bulb assembly in the Beogram 400x. Comes with an updated video. I was not fully happy with my original approach...too much messing with the Dremel tool for my taste...;-). More details on my blog:
