I just developed this sign at one of my stock BM4400.
Anyone who knows what it means?

It means, that it is registered as property of Bang & Olufsen (or used to be). Your BM4400 could have been used for testing purposes on the factory. Several of my B&O measuring instruments have an identical label on the front and an explanation on the backside:

On the backside it says:

"REGISTERED IN FAA. - IF SCRAPPED OR SOLD, CONTACT THE REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT. PROPERTY OF BANG & OLUFSEN"

I'm not sure what FAA. stands for, but I'll ask my father tomorrow - he used to work at Bang & Olufsen.

Thanks Dennis - I think I'll have to look at the behindWink for that sign too.

Can your father (or some else) get me an AM1 - the latest Audiometer.....

He doesn't know what FAA. stands for, but I know a couple of other people that might do... Only time will tell. Smile

Unfortunately I can't help you with an AM1. I'm actually looking for one myself for my collection, but I think they are pretty rare. I've only seen very few for sale in the years I've been collecting and this was a bit too expensive for my taste.

Re: AM1.

I got one (cheap) from the manufactor together with a MM2 (both digi and analog). You can contact Ib Lundgaard, Electronic Instruments, Struer. He is still manufactoring them - and mostly other B&O Measurement instruments (together with some new interresting instruments for B&O). He's normally a couple each at stock. When stock is low he made about 30pcs. a time.
