Hello.
Since I bought my Beomaster 7000 (along with the other parts of the system) some years ago, I have had several faults with it. First the 2-way comms. didn't work from a distance (fixed by Mika kindly replacing caps in the CPU board), and random loosing of settings and now completely mute tuner. Last one came up during a re-cap I was doing (trying to improve the tuner, which had started to slowly lose sensitivity and while powered, slowly turning every channel into mono). It might be just a bad solder somewhere or a bad trace, but I have now being looking over the whole board several times, re-flowed every single solder and can't seem to get any further. Also if I have the BM opened on my desk, I have no space for my multimeter or anything else, I can hardly work. I don't think I can go much further from here.
So I am looking for somebody to have a look on the tuner board, or preferably the whole BM (and while there, do a re-cap to keep it running fresh). If someone with a compatible BM would have a look, I could send just the tuner board. Or the whole BM, but I am not too confident on posting heavy and fragile things like this.
Of course, if somebody in Helsinki would turn up, I'd gladly bring the machine in. I would by happy to pay for the repair and naturally all postages. Also there would be absolutely no hurry with the repair, I can manage without the BM. As it is now, I hardly use it anymore.
Anyone?
That's where real measuring comes in.
Feel free to send a pm.
A spare BM7000 is present, but preferable is to send the complete BM7000.
