Just got to the end of Which magazine and found the ratings on On or Over Ear Headphones. Usual range of Best Buys and the One to Avoid is the Form2i. Scores only 43% with poor speech quality and poor comfort and durability. Have to confess that I agree with most of what is said.
The test score ignores price but is based on 50% sound quality, 35% on comfort and durability with the rest being audio enhancement and features.

I agree. The 2i look nice enough but I wasn't taken aback by performance when I tried them. The children use ours for the iPad. Luckily the headphones were a gift from B&O .

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Well, I like mine, although I have the original Form 2. I didn't need as good a set of cans as my wife's H6s, she's the main headphone user in the house. I needed a pair for occasional use and to use at my workbench so figured might as well go with a MoMA worthy design.
But, I think B&O is mistaken when they say that no other headphone has been in production longer, as the Koss Pro 4a has been made since at least the early 70s.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
I've got a pair (of the original Form 2) for over 20 years now.
Just got a new set of earpads for them - again!
Using them in bed late evenings they are very pleasing - you can comfortably rest your head on the pillow with them on.
Sound is pretty neutral/natural - I need no booming headphone at that time of the day.

Beocenter 8000, Beovision 7 32", MX 4000, MX 7000 with matching VCR, MX 1500, Avant 28 DVD, 2 Beo 4 DTV. Beocom 5000 with AV controls, Beolink 5000 (in need of some Major Repairs, Major help- needed with this!! Thanks in advance to anybody who could help)
I actually like mine and am more than happy with the sound quality for an open style headphone (I've never use them outside due to sound leakage), build materials and feel are good too. They are also compact in size so live neatly in a draw next to my sound system.
Only minor gripe is that it would have been great if they came with an extension lead for flexible home use.
I'm sure you will enjoy these iconic phones....
Thanks Mark like I said I can't wait to take delivery of them!!!

Pretty much sums up my sentiments too, except I keep mine hanging on the corner of my BS9000. I think the sound quality is fine, in fact they remind me of a pair of light, open headphones we sold, and I owned, back when I worked in a stereo shop in the late 70's. Can't recall the name of these, but they were light, affordable for a highish end product, comfortable, and open sounding. The Form 2's remind me of them. The fact the Form 2's are so stylish and acknowledged as such is just a plus IMO.
I have to confess to not being a fan - mainly because I have a huge head and the headband on the Form 2 is simply uncomfortable! Form 1s were better but not as good as the HD600s or Grado RS1s.
