Hi everyone.

I am one of those who absolutely adores the Beovox CX50. I think it's a wonderful little speaker and am looking to soon own a pair myself. I wish to use my Beocenter 2500 as cd source and preamp, but since it doesn't contain a power amplifier, I would need something like the MCL2P to drive the CX50's.

My question is: how do you connect the MCL2P to the BC2500? I seem to remember reading somewhere that you use a fully wired Powerlink MK2 cable to connect the amp to the AUX input of the BC2500. However, how would this not eliminate the cd from playing? I mean, once the AUX input has been chosen on the BC, the cd section is no longer in play. The confusion is overwhelming!!

I'm sure someone can help :)

Kind regards

You use the powerlink socket, not the Aux socket....

This way Aux is still available.

I see, Ralf :)

There are two powerlink sockets on the BC2500 (left and right for active speakers). Does it matter whether it's the left or right channel socket you use?

All the best

Hi Rasmus

One of the good Things with Powerlink is, that it doesn't matter which socket you use. There is no left or right. Left or right is chosen on the active speakers with a switch.

You can 'Daisy-chain' active speakers - run one PL cable to one speaker, and then a cable from that speaker to the next.
