I just bought a Masterlink cable and during installation I'm trying to get the clear moulded end cap off . Is there a trick to the removal?

thanks

It would appear the clear plastic mouldings stay on the cable .

I've tried the connection with them on ,to the BV6 but not sure what to set next ?

Hi Simon, what are you expecting to set next? It should just work.

What are you connecting to the BV6?

It's connecting to a beolab 2000. There's no noise from that whatever I do with the beo4. Excuse my ignorance!

Excuse mine - I haven't owned a Beolab2000 Smile

But I expect that if you press the TV button on the BL2000, it should turn on your BV6 to source TV (probably analog tuner) and play the sound through the BL2000. You can adjust the volume on the BL2000.

Does that work?

Thanks I shall try this when I get a chance . Hopefully I haven't misunderstood the capabilities of the things I've linked .

No problem at all, Simon.

I agree that the BL2000 should respond to a Beo4, but I just wanted to check that the basics were working before considering Option issues or potential faults.

Assuming that the BL2000 is in a different room and the only master you have is a video master (i.e. the BV6) then you should be able to stand in front of the BL2000 and control the BV6 in the next room: turn it on, select video sources, and hear the sound from those sources on the BL2000.

You should be able to select those sources by using the buttons on the BL2000 or by using a Beo4 or other remote.

Is that what you were expecting to do with it?
