Hi
When I am programming a "Timer Play" timer on my Beomaster 7000 with my Beolink 7000, I can choose "No Stop", which means it just turns on the source selected for "Play" but never turns it off again.
I somehow remember that this also was possible on the Beolink 5000, but I cannot get it to work. If I use the Beolink 5000 to "check" an existing "Play Timer" created with the Beolink 7000, it shows "??:??" for the "Stop" value when it is created with "No Stop" with the Beolink 7000...
Could this be some SW difference in the Beolink 5000's that makes me remember that this could be done ?
Anyone ?

In general, the timers you set are not compatible between different remotes. So the results can be unpredictable/undefined if you try to display or edit your BL7000 timers with a BL5000.
It is quite possible that you need a certain software level in the BL5000 to be able to create "no stop" timers, if it is at all possible. I take it you have already consulted the user guides? (I certainly haven't )

They are compatible, the timer programming are completelly the same, and all steps required for creating timers on the 2 remotes are 100% the same, even single/daily/weekly and so on :)
You can edit/create/delete as much as you like on the two different remotes, I have had BL5000/7000 for many many years now, and not one time has something gone wrong when creating/editing timers between the 2 remotes..
The only issue is this "No Stop" which does not seem to be available on (all) Beolink 5000's apparently :)
I have checked the manual, and it does not say anything about "No Stop" for the BL5000, so maybe I just remember wrong, however, it is still possible to edit a "No Stop" timer created on BL7000, and will stay a "No Stop" when checking it at the BL7000 later..
I remembered something about just pressing "right" when the "Enter Stop Time" was in the BL5000 display, but this does not work on mine..
I can`t remember a "NO STOP" function on my BL5000/7000s. They got START - STOP time,Mo,TU, WE... DAILY; WEEKLY, and "PLAY NEXT" ...

BL7000 has it...
Weebyx:BL7000 has it...
Only some s/w versions have it. IIRC, it's only available on non-RDS models, but I may be wrong here.

My V3.1 RDS certainly doesn't.

Ok, so apparently there is a lot of different SW versions with as many different features..
My V2.1 RDS has the 'No-Stop' option... Guess I gotta keep this VERY rare BL7000 ;)

Ah, then I'll change my statement to "only available on non-Control function models" Is that more correct?

Nope, My BL7000 has No-Stop / RDS AND Control :) Now even more rare ;)
BL7000 type 1545 sw1.3
BL7000 type 1631 sw3.0
the later was introduced for the AV9000 sytem (with Sound 1,2,3,4&5 but no Control and NoStop)
same kind of differences with the BL5000
type 15xx (I cant find the number) and 1620
Weebyx:Nope, My BL7000 has No-Stop / RDS AND Control :)
Sorry, that was what I meant (but I wrote the opposite?) - no-stop and Control go hand in hand :)

So I just need to find me a "control" version BL5000 ? :)
