Hi

I am surpised to see a lot of artefact (blue sky in particular) when I watch blurays recorded on my computer.

I tried them with a philips edge tv and I don't have this issue.

The screen is younger on the bv 7 and has 1.5 d local diming

I am quite surprised and disappointed.

I don't expect to have a better PQ but at least as good as the older philips.

My ps3 bluray player doesn't accept any more bluray discs so I couldn't see if it is due to the fact it is streamed from the ps3 or not.

My panel doesn't have bluray built in.

You use the PS3 for streaming to in both cases?

Are they hardwired or wifi?

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi MM

I use the ps3 for both and it is hardwired otherwise it would be impossible to stream it.

I use Universal media server on my computer.

Same ethernet and hdmi cables.

My software on the bv 7 is not the last, there is only one after but it is for a HDMI matrix and 3D issue.

After some test with a bluray player plugged into the two tvs, it seems that the picture is just a little bit grainy for background sky.

The result is worse with a file stored in my computer. It seems that the philips tv is just able to correct this differences better than the bv.

When I rip the movie, I should have some loss even if I take care of this.

This is for old movies (mad max 2, shining for example).

No big issue.
