dear members,

one of my Beogram 4002 tables causes the following problem:

after I pulled the motor apart for a lube service and change of a blown fuse

the platter now decided  to spin anti-clockwise ??

plugs are all in place correctly....but what could cause that kind of problem ?

any ideas anybody ??

thanks for your replies :-))

I'm afraid I'll go with the obvious guess that you didn't assemble the motor correctly...

Is it AC or DC motor version?

hi mika,

it is the AC motor version !

there is really nothing that one could do wrong in the re-assembly process, couldn't one ?!?!

no loose parts, except its cover !

unscrew the cap, lubricate the motor and close it again ???

or did I miss anything ?

Does it turn counterclockwise any time? Does the platter rotate on its own?

Methinks you might have put the magnet upside down when you re-assembled the motor.

Yes, spin anti-clockwise  when turned on.

I will check the motor assembly again - nothing is impossible

Thanks for the thought anyway

Cheers, Alf
