I was given  4 beolab 8000's speakers, a Beosound 9000 an yamaha DSP-A3090 and a Knoll MVP44a Controller power amp, all of the existing connection are still in the walls including the speaker cable, what cable and speaker wire do i need to make our unit operational, SOMEONE please advise,

Congratulations !

A great set up.

Was it used for surround sound ?

Is that what the non-B&O kit was used for ?

Or was the second pair of speakers in a link room ?

Which configuration do you want ?

I really don't know which  configuration they were used for, my girl friends boss gave them to her, with a lot of f other goodies, she could care less about Tv's and stereo systems, but i love music and i would like to take full advantage of this unit. i have know ideal how to hook this system up, it looks like i may need mk2 stereo cable wires, and thats about all i know, i appreciate your response

For stereo you just need one pair of labs, two cables - ml 3 May be better future proof, and the 9000.

Of course you could by a WISA transmitter an receivers so that you don't need long cables. But even there you would need 4 short cables to replace the 2 long cables !

A better buy might be a Beo Active (and its cables, plus a MasterLink cable) so you can support the left over Labs in a second room.

Or you could eBay the spares.

As well as the non-B&O kit.

Hello Elephant, would it be possible, for you to give me a ideal of how to hook this system up, and what cable to connect to which inputs, also i seen different cables on ebay but i did not know the exact cable model numbers, i would like to use one set up for movies in one room and one set up in another room for music, I can send pictures of the back of my components if nessary, I would like to try and connect my system up myself, before i call a company to come out. I would greatly appreciate your help, Thanks again

You could start to use the Beosound 9000 with the Beolabs (2 x powerlink splitter + 4 x powerlink cables - check Sponsor soundsheavenly for cables).

Then you might want to use your tv with the set (either headphone out or rca Audio out - if available - and connect this via aux to the beosound 9000).

Maybe there will be an issue with the Sound processing (lip sync / Video and Audio not synchronized...)
