Hi,
I have 2 Beolab 2500 speakers connected to a Beocenter 2300, one of which is currently driving me mad.
The problematic speaker shows a green led but is silent, while the other one is perfectly fine.
I swapped the cables of the speakers, bought new cables (5 pins dins, not the original B&O ones, i lost them long ago), swapped the speaker plugged to the power source, tried to plug them separately to power, nothing helps...
One strange thing happened though : when i plug the cable a bit sideways on the Beocenter (obviously i cant push it in this way) the speaker delivers a decent sound, but with a lot of static noise.
I really dont know what to do to fix this, i don't even know where the problem is coming from...
Does anyone have a idea ?

I not sure? i Think you need to have original B&O Cables.

Sorry guys somthing its happen and my ansvar shows manytime :-)
I will try getting some, but i'm 99,99% sure it doesnt come from the cable because i used 5 pins cables for years with no problems (actually all my cables work on the other speaker, which i bought at the same time than the faulty one and used in the same conditions), and because in din connectors only the pins 1,3,4 & 5 are used for sound transport...
Do you know if they are available in B&O stores ? i can't find the info on their website
You can get new powerlink cabel maybe 0,5 meter in all Bang & Olufsen shops or internet.
The are powerlink cabel with 8 pin so you can test your speakers

There could be some more defect than a simple cable.
The Speaker itself can be defect.
The cable can be defect, but that you have already checked across.
The Center can be defect, dead channel. You can make a shortcut for some seconds between the two Sound channels of the Beocenter, connecting left and right channel. That would check cable an loudspeakers.
Do you have another Beolab Hardware? Then you could connect a beolab 6000 Speaker and check the cables and both channels with a Switch. The BL2500 does not have the Switch Option... because of that connect both channels for a second... not minutes.
