Whether the BV7-40 MK6 can play the 'DTD/Dolby HD' tracks depends on the decoding capacities of the bluray player used.
The built-in decoder of the BV7 can not decode them - but it can play the tracks, if they are decoded to (L)PCM sound in the decoder of the BRP.
I suppose you mean 'play from the in-built BRP'?
Now - it is hard to find the specs of this particular player (someone?). I can't answer that question!
Most (not the cheapest) bluray players have both 'HD-decoders' built in.
In the userguide the options for the playback are described this way:
"What’s on the AUDIO FORMAT menu ... STANDARD ... Decode all audio formats to PCM for up to 7.1 (seven sound channels and one channel for low-frequency sound). STANDARD audio format is recommended to be able to play all sound tracks."

Not being able to decode the HD tracks, would force the BV7 to use the (compressed) 'core tracks', which can be decoded in the built-in decoder of the BV7.

I haven't heard of any such update for the BV7 engine!
My advice has always been - go for a good external (puc-controlled) BRP (like the OPPO), and let that decode to PCM.
Unless your main concern is convenience - then go for the built-in one.

Go for the 103 (D).
You won't benefit from the 105 (D) - unless you need its usb-dac and the headphone-amp.

The 105 has the three digital inputs (optical, coaxial, and a 2-channel asynchronous USB DAC input) in addition. Do you need any of them?
In a B&O setup you (mostly) will need the HDMI-out (or maybe both of them), and maybe the HDMI-in for ? whatever...
The additional (excellent) audio processing for analog out is not useable with a BV.
Hey Olvisab, Richer Sounds are selling the Panasonic for £399 now. Have a read of the reviews as some are saying that it beats the Oppo.

But comparing prices you should compare with the price of the OPPO 103 (without D).
