Hi,

The doors are not opening and closing for my BS 2300

Is this an easy repair?

if not, is it a costly repair

The doors are set correctly

Regards,

Jonathan

It's hard to decide, what is the problem upon Your description, as it can be:

- power failure,

- bowden failure (servo starts, but doors are not opening)

- servo motor failure.

- IR sensor failure.

EXACTLY what happens, when You intend to open the doors? Were the doors worked, and stopped working from one day to another?

Did You tried to OPEN the CD cover? In this case the doors will open and the CD cover will open after this. You can check with this if the IR sensors are wrong. Did You tried to GENTLY help the doors to open? Did they moved without any resistance? Did You tried to remove the glass panels (gently pull them off), and to check if the BS can open the doors in this case?

Please help us for a more detailed problem description!

Hi

I had the doors off- the 'tabs' where the doors snap into are 'loose' in regard to their moving-that is no drag or resistance. I can hear the motor trying to move when I come close tot he Beoworld-is that enought information.

Thanks,

Jonathan

If you are sure that the doors are mounted correctly then you probably need a new rubber drive belt on the motor. Easy fix once you have worked out how to fit it without taking the transport cables off of the pulley!
