BEOWORLD INTRO PROFESSOR JOHN KERCHEVAL
Hello, I am a B&O enthusiast and have been since I saw the awesome system 8000 for the first time in a high end stereo store in 1981 when I was 16.
At a lifeguard’s minimum wage, I could not afford the $5,000 it cost.
Starting in 1987, I built the highest end system 8000 there is:
Beomaster 8000, TWO Beocord 9000s plugged into it, a Beogram 8002 with MMC1 and a Beogram CDX. Yes they all can be plugged into the BM at once with a little creativity. Beovox MS-150s and U90s complete the package and it sits in my living room to this day (13 ft long)
I own MANY other B&O products, phones, answering machines, clocks, bottle openers, you name it. A system 5500 and 3300. Beovox Pentas are in the home theatre.
I firmly believe that the 80s were the heyday of B&O when they looked the best, were built the best & sounded the best.
