I have a Beo 4, 5, and 6. When I watch satellite I use GO UP, GO DOWN, GO LEFT, GO RIGHT to skip forward, back, FF, and RWD.
My Beo 5 is programmed such that the large outer arrows perform this same function.
Dealer tells me it is not possible to program the Beo 6 to do the same.
Is this correct? And if so what is it possible to program the Beo 5 to do it, but not the Beo 6?
Thanks!

Hi,
Your dealer is wrong, the Beo 6 can be configured in the same way. Depending on the cursor mode used for the video product the tool will generate the correct button layout. If your video product doesn't use cursor mode the large outer arrows perfom the same functions as the inner cursor keys. I have my Beo 6 configured exactly this way for controlling a Technisat Digicorder.

Thanks! Does it matter whether the system is in navigation or non navigation mode?
Yes it does matter. If your system is configured to not use navigation keys it will not repond to navigation keys. So the konfiguration of the system and the Beo5/6 need to bee in sync.
Yes you can, you simply have to assign the same commands to both keys.

Where in the configuration tool is that done?
This is done in the Edit-Tab. Which BeoVision and which source do you use, then I can show you in detail.
Do you use the config tool yourself? Then PM me your configuration.xml and I'll manage for you.
I've tested a configuration BV7-55 no DVD and Dish DVR with config tool 5.11:
Step1 is showing the config of the BV7 without navigation keys.
Step2 is showing the IR codes assigned to the inner navigation keys the center button and the outer arrows for the source TV (read from the bottom to top)
Step3 the same for the Dish DVR.
So the tool generates the correct configuration. I don't know what problems your dealer has.
