The Avant 55 has a Spotify application in the Audio group.

I have enabled it and logged into my Spotify account.

But the Avant does not show up in the Spotify Connect list on my iPad.

Does the Avant55 support Spotify Connect ?

Ok, thanks.

That is sad. The current Spotify implementation in the Avant is not very useful to me.

It does not support Connect, so I cannot use the iPad to control what the Avant is playing via Spotify.

The Spotify implementation itself is very limited, I cannot see my music or saved albums, only some playlists.

And the search function is awkward since the iPad keyboard in the Beoremote app cannot be used, only the remote left right up down picking on the screen keyboard can be used.

Hope B&O makes this useful soon.

I'd certainly like Spotify to go Connect in the BV's too.

But do consider that there are people, who do not have or do not want to handle phones or tablets just to listen to Spotify music from their BV's.

The interface on the BV's is limited, yes - but still it is enough for getting to, what you want to hear.

These limits come from Spotify - not from B&O.

I - for my part - don't need any 'my music', social playlists...etc.

To me one big search field would be enough as Spotify interface.

The Beo4 with navi does the job well (when you get used to it).

P.S. If they do Connect' on the BV's, they should - please - make it possible to 'wake up' the BV from standby, and to let the music play with a muted display (if the user wishes that).

Wake-up seems to work already for the DLNA player function.

Today I used my iPad to tell my NAS to stream an album to the Avant which was off.

The Avant nice woke up, and switched to the HomeMedia player.

That is what I 'expect' should happen with the Spot-connect too.

P.S. I use that DLNA function oft - it is a pia to scroll through all my music in the HomeMedia interface.

A lot easier with my iPad.
