hello all,Sorry in advance for my pitiful English! I hope to be understood!I have a Beogram 4002, very careful and perfect sound, a good review after two years has been working perfectly until a few days:The tone arm does not go down!, Perfect moves, the sensor locates the point but does not give the order to the tone arm down.There is some typical aberia on this subject, something that can guide me, I have room, heramientas accurate and some knowledge to try!Many thanks for the helpBest Regards
It could be the linkage between the solenoid & the tonearm, or the dampening cylinder. You should be able to move it quite freely by hand. There are several pivot points which seize over time. Take it apart, clean the old grease off and add a new lubricant which can silicon grease or acid-free sewing machine oil. It's not difficult to do, the linkage is fairly easily accessible.
