Hi

A friend of mine asked me if it was possible to use the 7 32 motorised stand for a 7 40.

I don't worry about the rear mount but the weight on the motorised system and the vertical axis.

4 beolab 5,  beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2,  2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

The stand is too small for the 40" and in my opinion would be dangerous.

Also, if you did get the bigger 40" screen onto the stand you'd never have room for the speaker below..

I wouldn't bother.

I have been wanting to mount a non-B&O tv on my BV7-32 stand.

I have been concidering a  55" that would match the stand.

The weight of, say a samsung 55" would not be more than the BV7-32.

But it would probably look retarded :P

These stands are really wonderfull.

It should be possible to use them and control them without a bv on it. I mean not in the same room.

One day I will use one for an automatic secret door (this sentence will self-destruct in few seconds).

The stand is controlled by the Beovision itself, so i think it is not possible to control it with a different tv-set on the stand :(

Read my sentence : not in the same room ... But it means it is connected.

This is just a question of cable length and control. A mlgw can probably do this remotely without anything in view.

You don't need a recent bv for this an old bv 7 can do it.

The stand function is available on the list of function which can be controlled by the mlgw.

Well, MM will probably say that it is an expensive solution with DIY tricks Big Smile

But when you add tricks on tricks , the expensive thing you add can do many funny things.

Please don't use that word, it's offensive to those with disabilities.

Two children are talking in the school yard. "How many chromosomes do you have" asked one of them.

"Pfft, more than you at least" answers the others.

My client with Down's syndrome loves this joke.

My step mothers brother in law with a daughter with Down's syndrome laughed his ass off when I told this joke.

One of my clients says every day "things are always strange around here, because our heads are missing something", then we all laugh.

A national radio channel was slaughtered for making a joke about Down's syndrome, and after this they got massive request from the D.S community to don't stop joking about them.

I do believe that calling something retarded is more offensive to you than to someone with an actual retardation.

And here you have a perfect example of using the word "retarded" in a sentence that has nothing to do with human development.

"The problems have retarded the progress of the program."

Now let's all be gay* Big Smile

What's your point LGW and what has your story to do with OP's thread?

Rather than trying to justify it, how about just don't use it and everyone is happy.
