Hi all. New to beoworld,  b&o ownership, not new to being a fan. I couldn't NOT buy this bombaster 1900 i recently stumbled upon.  so clean, such a low price, and as you all know, a design icon. So excited to get it fired up and powering my 4 speaker set up (2 rooms actually)... buutttt.... drum roll....

the 4th speaker output is nil. i have verified it's not my speakers or wiring by simply swapping plugs from 3 to 4 and vice versa, and it is definitely at the 1900.

I am sad of course, but at the same time, sort of excited at the prospect of doing my first repair and i know this is the place to find guidance. I've done some searching of course, but the issues i found were similar, not exactly the same.

So, can someone start me off? is this an easy repair.... My GUESS is it's a cold solder / cracked solder joint but I don't know these amps i just know basic electronics. So I defer to you all. HELP!

Looking forward to a long fun membership here!

The switch at the bottom often fails.

hmm. doesn't sound intuitive. in position "1" the 1900 feeds speakers 1 & 2 just fine.

In position "2" speakers 3 and 4 should come on, but only speaker 3 does.

I would think if the switch was broken it would be both or none. as it is channel 3 does come on when the switch is set to "2". loud and clear, but channel 4 is a dud.

it's possible i guess. maybe i could put a jumper in or something?
