Will a new Beo4 remote control work with a vintage BeoMaster 7000 head unit?

Yes, but it will be very cumbersome for setup tasks such as setting radio presets. For everyday use it is fine.

If a Beolink 7000 is tricky to find, don't rule out the MCP5500 as this will allow you to do things easily and they are much cheaper. A Beo4 or Beolink 1000 is ideal for everyday use.
