Hi, I have a MCL2A just outside my bathroom, and I would like to connect a set of small speakers to enjoy music from my bath tub. I was looking for rounded grundig speakers, since I need them to be hanging from the ceiling. Was there ever a set of small beovox that could withstand the steam in the bathroom, other than the IWS2000? What made that speakers special that it could withstand steam?
I read somewhere that I might just use a regular set of small speakers, and replace them every few years, but I am afraid that they will ruin the beomaster. Could that happen?
I would love to hear about your experience. Thanks.

think about beovox 1!
Why not IWS2000?

Leslie: Why not IWS2000?
The problem with these, and the beovox 1, is that I am not allowed to drill a massive hole in the ceiling of my bathroom. I could make a special wooden box for it, but that would also be subjected to the steam. And the IWS2000 are not really available ... I know you have a pair, Leslie :)
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
I have Beovox 1s - don't bother - not that great! I used to have CX50s which were fine for about 20 years! Better in a bathroom as not too much bass and crisp top end. If I had not cut the holes, I would put them back up!!

That's the price you need to pay just for B&O design screws. :-)
You guys must be spending a lot of time in the bathroom

There is a tv - and there is a BV
I used some speakercraft in ceiling mountables that can go into a bathroom. They have tweeters that you can move so you can direction the high end sound to where you need it. Very happy with them for last 8/9 years, B&O didn't make any in ceiling speakers at the time. Performance is excellent even my 18 year old son and his mates all thing so too

B&O has been making in-wall-speakers since 1992 - starting with the IWS1000.
Yesterday I finally put up the speakers in the bathroom: Grunding 210a. They look great, and match the CX50/XC100 that I have in my other link rooms. Sounds just fine the that small space. If I have my own bathroom I will install IWS2000.
Thanks for all the advice!

Not really, although I like to take a bath every now and then, while watching some series on my iPad, with the sound via airplay on the speakers in the linkroom ;-)
But my main objective is to be able to switch on the music in every room of the house. That turns out to be really pleasant.
