Hello: I am using the airplay mode to listen  to the music from the iphone or ipad easyly to the speakers through the playmaker. I switch on the device and it appears on the iphone airplay.

But I can't  figure how to do this from the imac , since I can't see the playmaker option . I want to send the music, for instance, from spotify to the beolab 6000 speakers through the playmaker.

Any help would be good for me. Sorry for my english.

Works automatically from iTunes. For other programs like Spotify you would need a 'sender' program. I use Airfoil.

Press ALT and click on the speaker symbol in the top menu bar. This will show you all AirPlay devices you can stream to from iTunes and maybe from other apps too.

@jinabe

I can see my Playmaker on my MacMini (running Yosemite).

Which OS does your iMac have.

Do have a look at the new version of AirParrot here:

And welcome to Beoworld by the way.

Your English is good.

When you say that the iMac can not see the Playmaker are you talking about iTunes ? If you go to the speaker option in iTunes do you have single speaker - local, selected ? Can you turn on multiple speakers and add the Playmaker to the local speaker output ?

How close is the Playmaker to the iMac ?

Are both of them on wi-fi ?

Is your wi-fi 2.4 GHz ?

Thank you very much for your answers and your welcoming. I am sorry , because I am a bit newbie and I didn't know that I had to use the itunes program. I tried once and again from the airplay on the top and it just appeared the apple tv. A silly thing for you but for me was unsolvable.

I tried and it works well.  I click in the airplay symbol , it appears the computer, the apple TV ,  the airport express, and at the end the playmaker to choose.

I will try Airfoil for spotify. I guess it is an app from the store.
