Hi everyone!
I'm looking for the following, for my tatty, but working BM, a very early model I intend to put back into service at home:
- left wood trim (rosewood)
- front wood trim (rosewood)
- glass window
- display PCB with green digit PCBs, working - not holding my breath, but you never know!
Many thanks!
Jacques
There are some trim pieces and other BM 8000 parts currently for sale in the US on Ebay here. A little expensive but they look decent.
Thanks John. I had come across those, thanks. Very expensive, plus shipping cost to France even more...
Another option is to buy a nice sheet of Rosewood veneer and cut what you need. I have purchased a couple of old veneer pieces off Ebay to repair some B&O speaker cabinets. Those 8000 and 6000 series of B&O components only have a sliver of veneer glued on the frame. It seems like it could be made pretty easily (although I've never tried that). I know it would be easy for Leslie or Søren.
hi chartz my name is shaun live in the uk I have an early 8000 I keep for spares Ihave left and right wood tim and front wood trim in rosewood also the glass window if you have a volume control canmotor for a beomaster 6000 maybe we could do a swap ? regards shaun
Hi Shaun,
Thanks for you offer but I do not have that motor - although I do have a mint BM6000! Anything else?
jacques at the moment its the canmotor I need my 6000 is in good nick if you can get hold off the motor let me know ps what are you asking for the 6000 ? regards shaun
Nothing for the 6000. I am still interested in the BM 8000 parts, but have nothing to offer!
Still looking...
hi chartz yes still have the parts got hold of the canmotor for the 6000 plus one free IM after a full working 6000 beomaster terminal ? to swap or £45.00
Forty-five quid for the lot seems a little steep! They are more like ePay prices, not friendly Beoworld prices! After all, you got the motor for free, didn't you?
That's the general practice in these parts.
I got the whole thing for (much) less than that...
Any pictures of the parts then?
I've found a fully working 6000 terminal, I'll pop it in the post if you don't mind sending Jacques the parts he needs👍
Still looking for those...
