Hi
i was cleaning out my loft in my new house and I came across a beomaster 1202 & a beomaster 3000 amp, after a dust off and a clean up they both actually work.
the speaker 1 push button on the 3000 is a bit temperamental & the 1202 turn table runs ok on some records but slow on others, would anyone know what the problem might be. The belt stays on the table part and transport screws are all loose
(it's currently stored in my shed as been cleaning it up and it's very cold in there would this cause the issue??)
many thanks to to your answers
adam
A slow Beogram 1202 could be a few things, I would try the simple ones first rather than the more complicated ones. So adjust the speed using the speed dial on the left hand side etc.
If the problem is more permanent, as is likely with a machine this age, it is most likely the motor. It will probably need overhauling and lubricating. This will ensure it runs for many more years to come. It is a common issue with this series of decks, but no great surprise if you consider their age!
Try searching on the forum for this issue for more info.
The button on the 3000, I would try a small amount of contact cleaner first. This may move it around a bit and get it going. You seem to be pretty lucky if that is all that is wrong with it! Usually storage is not too good for old B&O,
