I can't tell if you are kidding but I sure hope you are. If B&O officially said that to me when I reported problems I would return them in a second.
Bluetooth audio should work no matter if it is connected to a computer or phone. If cheap $100 Bluetooth headphones can reliably play music the H8 should as well.

I bought a pair of H8 about a week ago. Overall very satisfied with my new headphones. Unfortunately i'm having the same problem as many other with the bluetooth connection. When i'm sitting at my desk with the phone (iPhone 6) in my jeans pocket i experience several blips during each song and sometimes longer blips. Just filed a report to support at B&O, waiting for a reply. My serial number is 2512XXXX so this could confirm what Roger said about the SN.
I'll get back when i heard from B&O support.

I just received my replacement pair from Beoplay as my old had bluetooth issues. The difference seems to be amazing. This is the H8 I was waiting for! Really it seems to be working properly. Walked to the other side of the apartment (about 20 meters with a few walls) no single dropout.
After the weekend I'll do some testing in public transport and walking. I'll report here later on.
Have a great weekend, mine will be great with this perfect set of headphones.

It has the serial that falls within the parameter given in some posts before this one. Have been testing it in public transport these two days. Seriously, not a single dropout, which is quit an improvement 8-). If anyone has any doubts about buying one, just do it! It's worth the money now!
Just recieved the reply from the B&O support. They confirmed that there is an improved H8 released and that they will replace my headphones with a pair of new ones.
Great news for me, will report when they have arrived.
These are all fantastic news. Btw just got a confirmation from the retailer today they are issueing a refund for H8 I bought at Heathrow.
Now I can buy a pair with a "higher" SN or even maybe think of H7 Cenere Gray. Either way: great to know H8 will be working properly now.
Will the H8 eventually come in Cenere Grey I wonder. The H7s look amazing in their new colour.
I now have the updated H8´s. This far no dropouts, but to early to say for sure. I think the ANC feature has changed a bit, it sounds different, at least I think so.

I picked up my new pair on Saturday (new serial number range) and, so far, no dropouts at all. I'm very happy.

I experienced five drop outs last friday when I went home from work. This was in a very busy intersection in Malmö, Sweden and I didn't see any other bluetooth headsets but there was probably a lot of interference in the "air". It might have been my phone that was lagging behind but I don't think so. Other than that I've had no dropouts on the new headphones. I commute daily with busses, trains and walking with tons of people so they are at least a very good improvement over the old ones. My serial number starts with 2570.
I'm enjoying my new dropout-free H8s. The difference is remarkable. I can cross a road without my audio dropping out when I look left and right!
This is weird though: I started using them fully charged yesterday morning and today (Tuesday) the Bluetooth battery indicator on my iPhone has still not moved from 100%. Has anyone else experienced this? There seems to be a software bug.
I also noticed the battery level indicator stays rather high, but I always assumed it was because I charged them regularly. I'll use the for a few days without charging and report back.
The indicator on the iPhone home screen isn't so easy to see, but on the Today screen it's much more visible.
Regarding drop-outs, I do get them when I turn my head depending on what I'm wearing, where my arms are positioned and where the phone is situated. However, this is a similar experience to other Bluetooth headphones I've used, so although annoying, I don't consider it a fault. Mind you, could be they've improved them further, I have S/N 25470432

but when i'm using my beoplay A2 with my macbook under mac os everything works fine (in windows it will not work)
so that is strange why the H8 is not working with bluetooth and the A2 is working perfect...

It is a completely different product. The A2 is mainly made out of plastic and it has space for a longer (better) antenna than the smaller H8 with metal caps. Anyway, I have to say I was worried about the black version looking cheaper but it actually looks really good. It blends much better with my style and it´s really, really nice! The only thing I don't really like is that the L and R lettering on the inside of the earmuffs are now white instead of grey but thats a real small issue :D.

Absolutely. Others have either returned them to the store the bought them from or contacted beocare directly.
Just received an email saying black and natural are available. The new colours are on the website now too.

What does the natural colour look like in comparison to the argilla bright? Is it just the anodised metal the difference or is the leather different too?
Got my black H8s earlier today. Sound is excellent. Punchy and bright.
Easy to set up. usb to mini usb charging cable is quite short (about 30 cm) so will probably buy a longer one. They are available as an accessory for £9
No view on Bluetooth stability because it's way too soon to say.

OK, I confirm this behaviour - 100% for two days, then suddenly 70%. I've noticed similar on the Plantronics Back-Beat Pro BT earphones I use at the gym too, so maybe it's just the way it is rather than a bug...
