Hi everyone,
do you think it's possible to connect a BS5Encore to a Beosystem 7000 which is connected via the 1611 converter to a B&O TV?
We are currently in the construction phase of our house and I have to figure out how to wire my setup.
The plan is:
All 5 speakers connected to my B&O TV (4x BL5 plus 1x BL7.4)
Beosystem 7000 connected to the TV with the 1611 ML converter
Beosound 5 Encore connected to the Beomaster 7000 via AUX
Do you think this will enable music through all connected speakers?
Thanks for the help
Stephan
The Encore does not hav Mastelink what I can remember. Is there a av output for external amplifier?
If you want to use the ML then you have to go for the BS5. If my memory is correct.. :)
and the Encore has no Digital out - please don't feed your Beolab 5 with an analog signal! (it's like driving a porsche with pulled hand brake)
So buy a Beosound 5!

Connect your BS5E Powerlink out to any audio input of your BM7000. Select this source via your BV7 and select SPEAKER5.
Now all speakers should play your BS5E music. Be careful with volume setting. Powerlink is not a fixed line level output.

Hope this helps

If you ask me, this asking for trouble..
Beosystem 7000 and the BS5 use the same commands, so you will have conflicts if it is all connected with masterlink.
N.RADIO is the same command as PHONO, so if you press N.RADIO probably your beogram will start. If you change the roles from the BS5 from N.RADIO to RADIO, your FM-radio (BS7000) will start.
N.MUSIC is the same command for A.TAPE2, so this command will activate the Beomaster. If you change the roles from the BS5 from N.MUSIC to CD, your CD-player will start.
Bottom line, too many sources with the same commands. Or am I missing something?
Sorry, yes, you are missing something.
Read the entire posts. You can reconfigure the system to link sources or reassign BS5E sources.
Only problem maybe the double volume control - but read yourself........
I have this setting with our BV7 for the moment.
BS5 is connected to tape1, and configured as CD, not N.MUSIC.
by pressing LINK CD on the beo4, it turns on BS5 only, i then have to press A.MEM to turn on BM7000.
if I press CD only, it turns on BM7000 and CD6555.
You have double volume control, and you need to choose with system is the master for bass, treble and other audio settings
