Yes it will, but you have to upgrade the microcomputer in the unit. It is quite an easy job so you could do it yourself if you are OK with a screwdriver. The instructions on how to do it come with the part. Expect to pay about £50 for the micro controller.

You may wish to see the FAQ on the Beoworld web site HERE which gives complete details and HERE to install the PCB

I think if the only difference will be that A.TAPE2 or PHONE will appear on the screen instead of N.MUSIC or N.RADIO.

The N.MUSIC compatibility is more about the Audiomaster.

Thank you for the helpful answers. Did I read correctly, that every LCS9000 will be able to function correctly in a Masterlinknetwork after removing the plastic from the ML socket that exists in EVERY LCS900?

You DID read correctly.

Once you have removed the black plastic cover and followed the simple procedure to change from MCL to Masterlink as defined in the FAQ, then you effectively have a Beolab 3500. Subsequently if you upgrade the software to version 2.1 by replacing the microprocessor, then N.Music and N.Radio will appear on the screen when selected.

You now have a 100% compatible Masterlink product.
