Hi guys,
Do any of you guys have experience with BeoCenter 6 23/26 as a PC monitor? Is the respons time good enough and what about the resolution of the screen?
Best regards,
Frederik

Hi Beoberg,
I believe that we had a discussion about this a couple of months ago and most people felt it was a bad idea.
This is an incredibly old TV now 7 to 8 years now. Remembers thats a basic Samsung/Sharp LCD screen. In terms of LCD development, that's like 100 years in anything else. I had the model before the BV6 and it's picture was pretty awful back in those days. Not the TVs fault, just early LCD.
In a world of hi res Apple screens etc, the 6 doesn't really make sense. A TV screen was never intended for the higher resolution of a computer. I'll think you'll be disappointed. It's an old, old product now with a pretty face.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply. I searched the forums and saw that the BV6 (old model) was discussed as PC monitor. The BV6, however, was of much poorer quality. I am also considering the BV 8 26. Many B&O retailers used to use this as monitor on their desks (now replaced by iMacs...).

Hi Frederik,
You're welcome but the BV8 would be even worse - it was built to a price with a Sharp manufacture screen. That's even worse and again its a 2007 design.
Please do listen and get advice from Michael as he really is an expert on computers and his advice is 100% genuine do to his experience and love of the subject!
Best of luck with it all :) Do remember TVs are not designed to be used a computer monitors unless its something amazing like your BV11 which is bang up to date etc.
I really appreciate your answers, guys. I would love to have a B&O screen as PC monitor but I might have to deal with the fact that the 26" models never will be sufficient for the job
You're very welcome Frederick!
The only way round it would a used 32" V1 which are going relatively cheaply. Again at the same time, a new iMac like Michael is using has a relatively similar starting price brand new.
Michael has a V1, you could always ask his thoughts as a computer screen :)
Hope that helps, I've thought about it and talked about it with friends whilst mountain biking this afternoon and this is the best answer we can provide :)
I tried it, but it wasn't for me. (Beovision 6)
I just bought a 32" Acer screen. Magnificent, although not as exciting when off as the BV6!
Too long to list....
