Having a discussion with my friend Leslie last time I came to see him and seeing some pictures here (a beomaster 900 with a playaker ;)), I would open a thread (if it does exist, sorry) to share about mixing old and new B&O elements.

I'm impressed by most member of this forum, respecting perfectly different B&O ages (oh Leslie, your 4500 system with beolab 3000 Surprise and the full 8000 system with MS 150 that you allow me to hear one time !!!). However, sometimes, for reasons of space and money, we are mixing old and new elements.

First, I would like to present my BC 9500 with my BG 4002 (two iconic B&O pieces I dreamed about and that I use every day for more than a year now (thanks to you Leslie ;)). I can say that AC/DC sound perfectly on my Pentas !!!!!

Very cool! I'm betting that sounds better than most any iPod dock made today. Those old units had a wonderfully musical sound.

I have a mix of old and new, though not that old. Beogram 3000 tangential/MMC2 into PlayMaker aux into BS9000 to BL9s. Gives me the best of all worlds, streaming, vinyl, CD, etc.

Jeff

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Hello beolovers,

Currently, I have a beogram 7000 connected to a beomaster 5 to play vinyl through beolabs 3.

Not so old, but still a good age difference between the 2.

Best regards,

Eric

just like architecture when the lines are right old and new contrast well, nice set up Guy. I have my Playmaker connected to my Penta's......

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Well... The BV7 is designed by David Lewis. The BL4500s are designed by Gideon Lindinger-Lowy and the BS4500 by Jacob Jensen (and David Lewis depending where you look. But it's part of the BeoMaster 1900-family, which was originally designed by Jacob). Still a great match although the BV7 doesn't quite fit with the rest of it IMO. Maybe if the BV7 was black? Hmm

Some nice examples so far.  Here are 3 from me:

BV7_55 with a 'Capri' TV and some other bits of various ages in use.

Beotime with a 900M and BL7000:

My Playmaker attached to BL4000's in amongst part of the vintage collection:

And finally, my H6's and Beotime with my BL5000 system:

Dave.

Not so much 'brand new' here, but a few different eras nonetheless!

Some of my collection, white 5500 system with CX100s and Cona, Beograms 1202 and 1800, Beomaster 3000 and 900M.

Also very nice collection. Those TTs are really nice selected. And if I may say, the white IKEA is also matching perfectly Wink

You forgot to mention the Beolit (is it a 600 curry?) right down in the corner Big Smile

Well spotted Wink

It is actually a 400, there is a red 600 just out of shot though!
