I was lucky enough to get a pair of RL 1000, in the rare white/grey combination. They need some TLC. But how the .... do you dismantle these baby's? There are no screws around the edge as usual. And a second thing - what do you guys use as replacements for the ribbons?

I think the RL1000s replaced the RL35s, those had frets glued on - I was able to gently prize the frets off by hand, gently but firmly.
