Will it work out of the box with Beosound 5, or is the MLGW needed?
Any idea to get it?
Or is the interface cumbersome?

It saw it once, and it's slooooow.
Beoworld app with direct photo upload and emoticons.
It actually works - but not very quickly... takes a few seconds to load the song / file directory and to display the cover arts.
It also requires a rather good wifi signal.
If you can live with these two limitations, it is a small but useful tool short of being able to control BS5 with a tablet (Beolink Gateway)
I love using my Beo6 with my BeoSound 5. However, I have a very strong wifi signal. I find it to be a very elegant, simple solution for selecting music on the BeoSound 5. You can select everything easily with your thumb. A nice feature is that after you've selected the music and place the Beo6 back on the charger, the cover art of whatever is playing will continue to show. No MLGW is needed.
