Hi guys,
What is a good program to convert apple lossless files, and itunes 320 files to readable files by the Beosound 5?
Thanks!
Too long to list....
XLD on OSX and it is free
I wonder if you might want to hold off on converting those apple lossless files. Now that the Moment supports ALAC, hopefully the BeoSound 5 will see ALAC support in the near future. We've waited years for this. It might be worth waiting just a few months longer.
Well, you can always hope, that that will happen - I am not so sure about it.
Why not just convert the files now - and enjoy having a backup of them....just in case.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Yeah, I will not wait. :D
Want my music now.
I guess saving them to another location won't actually change the source files media type....?
Have my BS5 up and running now. Why didn't I get this earlier....?
Seems like this XLD can only do one file at a time?
No batch process?
Answering on my phone right now so cant check it out properly on t'net but dbpoweramp was always music file converter I trusted, although I've never needed it for a while - might be worth checking out!
Ban boring signatures!

Will it handle cover art? No one I've tried sofar manages to get the cover art....
Seems to be a big problem getting cover art to FLAC? From M4A???
Any suggestions?
DBpoweramp music converter!
EZ CD Audio Converter (www.poikosoft.com)
Will these get the coverart onboard?
dbpoweramp does

OK, thanks. Seems to be a windows application though.

At least something that a Win-OS can do better, than a Mac-OS
You could borrow a Win laptop for a weekend and do the convertion there - instead of
chasing the 'right' Mac appplication (which won't be easy to find).

I do have windows on both my MBA on parallels, and as a stand alone on a HD on my "Hackintosh", however, Windows won't find drives formatted to OS X extended journaled.
I have 160Gb or so music files, that will be roughly twice the size I think. Not too great to shuffle them with a 8gb USB stick!
Max converter does this beautifully for Mac!

I'm not sure, but I remember plenty of people saying in the past how they will never get such a pointless product because it doesn't have X and doesn't do Y
Pictures are required!

I was one of them!
Why did you changed your mind ?
Are you happy with the BeoSound 5 now ?

I love the Radio feature of it, living in a small town with a very *shitty* ADSL, going to change it in spring once the contract is up! (Thanks for nothing Sonera) I really enjoy the fact that the Bombaster 5 buffers the radio properly, so a 20sec or so internet timeout isn't meaning radio-hiccups!
But it's been in my house for about 20 hours, so hard to say if I'm happy with it yet. Bit of a pain to convert & transfer all the FLAC files. Must remember to make a backup of them too!

Thanks !
Great pictures !
Agree with you, Nradio is a great feature. MOTS too. And i really love the design, the wheel,... The whole user experience.

elephant:@bayerisch Did you hide the cables and base unit inside the wooden box ? Did you make use of the crack on the lid ? Or drill hole(s) ?

This is a temporary solution.
Yes the Beomaster is inside the middle box, there's three of them.
Didn't drill in them, since this is a temporary solution, and we want the boxes whole.
