Yesterday evening I was playing with the BeoRemote App on my iphone.

I was surprised to see that it didn't find the V1. Any thoughts what went wrong? I assumed that the iphone app had that same functionality as the iPad app, which works as expected.

Any suggestions?

ps. the Polymote app can find my V1 so the problem is not in the wifi/LAN set-up

Not an answer, but I've a similar issue - V1, BV11 and NL/ML Converter. The app always show V1 and NL/ML Converter but the BV11 in my case is hit and miss... Sometimes it's available but mostly not

I've noticed that starting the BV11 from cold (i.e., using the app and not the Beo4), it takes a good 3-4 times of starting the app on either iPhone or iPad and then force quitting the app (double click home button and swipe up on the app) before it actually finds my BV11.

Problem solved! Thank you for mentioning this workaround!

Do you have the eco modus - stand-by function activated? You have to modify your fast start-up timers maybe ... TV must be in fast start-up modus when you want to use the app.

Yup have got the quick time start now set for 16:30-1900 daily, seems to help, and I had Eco off. ;-)

With my BV11, when starting the tv from "cold" (no quick start timers enabled), the BeoRemote App stays in the "Looking for Product" stage for nearly half a minute, but it does eventually find it. Patience is required.

With quick start timers enabled, the App works right away. I've never had to force quit the App, just wait while it looks for the BV11. At first I did think that the App was stuck looking for the product and could not find it, but it was not — it simply takes quite a long time.

It often (but not always) takes so long, that I in the meantime have had time to fetch my Beo4 Crying

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi all,

I don't know why the 2.0 version has got problems in finding the TV's in some situations.
But let me explain the different powersaving / startup modes.

Quick start timer:
if enabled the TV stays ON all the time. It is fully accessible via network and the app / Beo4 only needs to send a "SOURCE" command to fire up the screen.

Wake on (W)Lan:
If quick start timer is disabled and WOL is enabled the TV will shutdown if STANDBY was pressed. The only part that will still be active is the network controller. It will listen for the "magic WOL package". The remote app will send out this specific package and the TV will start booting immediately. It will take nearly the same time as if you activate it via e.g. the Beo4. If the app detects that the TV is fully accessible via network it asks you for which source should be activated.

Quick start and WOL disabled
In this mode the TV can only be activated via incoming IR commands. The TV will consume least power in standby.

BR,
BeoMotion.
