Hello,
This might get a bit complicated.
We have:
1. a BEO 5500 receiver
2. 5 zones for the BEO 5550
3. a Denon AVR-E400 Reciever
The BEO 5500 works with the zones using the BEO remote, but the BEO currently only has radio, and audio connection in the CD port --The audio connector works: we have been using it with an i-phone.
Over Christmas we acquired the Denon AVR-E400. I was thinking we could leverage the features in the Denon to use over the BEO 5550. I can get the Denon to work with one of the BEO zones by hooking the speakers directly to it, but any attempt to try to further integrate the two has proven unsuccessful.
We have a HDMI to AV adapter between the Denon and the BEO; The Denon has one HDMI out (for Monitor), we tried hooking that HDMI out to the HDMI in on the Adapter and the hooking up the BEO AV in. That set up did not work. We also tried the Denon-out-adapter-Beo-audio jack setup ( the audio jack works because it we tested it with the i-phone) anyway, that didn't work either. At this point, I am wondering if the Denon HDMI out (the only 'out' available on the receiver), is adequate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle
