NEEO RC/Smart home controller

I'm curious: has anyone seen the NEEO-remote/smart home automator?

I really like the design and the seemingly powerful functions. I can see many people preferring this over a NL/BLGW-setup seeing the vast cost difference.

Whenever I see a website asking for contributions to Kickstarter, I'm highly skeptical. The Goldee Light Controller was a huge fiasco -- promising great innovations to get contributions of "pre-orders" via Kickstarter -- only to go bust.

Neeo will be working with the PlayMaker, so it is in my dreaming list.

Nuimo does not work with B&O, it is beautiful but all reviews I got online are not very great.

Neeo seems to be better and worth the waiting.

This pretty cool thing now seems to go into the real world phase.

Maybe an idea for those, who want to 'exchange' a BeoVision with a Loewe-tv ;-))

Hi, I've been in contact with the developer of Numeo and their new product 'Covi' that is Alexa voice controlled home automation hub / lamp with Alexa support built in from start and probably Google Home as well later on.

I presented the open source development documentation for development of own drivers for the BeoLink gateway.

They really liked the idea to be able to voice control B&O products with help of their Covi hub. I've been offered to have a development interview with them regarding this setup and such integration would also make the Numeo capable of controlling B&O products since that one interact with the Covi smart hub.

I received notice that Neeo has started shipping to it's Kickstarter backers.

Preordered one last year (not on kickstarter but their site) and hope I will receive it soon now. Hope it works as advertised.

 

This piece looks interesting.

I like the remote.

Curious to see how it works with a large system.

IE 5-6 rooms and multiple lights/curtains.

Got my NEEO last week. Currently doesn’t work with Beovisions. :(

Any news on beovision being supported.

I bought the neeo

It works reasonably well..

won’t pull up the menu which is a bummer but I like the interface.

I’m using it to control a sonos connect link I have connected to a beosound essence.

It gives me touch screen interface for my sonos without a phone.

And it does volume.

Perfect for that.
