Does anyone know how to get the S/PDIF inputs to work on the BS2? For some reason the soundystem  only seems to work with the 2 channel analogue inputs with an external Bluray player (i.e. the player connected via SCART+RCA for the S/PDIF).

I have tried both AV+S/PDIF1 and V.TAPE+S/PDIF2 options without any luck. The S/PDIF output of the player works fine for example with a Pioneer AV amplifier.

Hi,

Which version of BS2 do you use, MK I, II or III?

Depending on the version BS2 is capable of playing different sound formats. Which format did you try to play?

What sources are assigned to AV and V.Tapge Socket?

Instead of the avant  (RCA spdif for AV and decoder), the BS 2 RCA's should work with AV and VTAPE.

I can remember that it was different compared with the avant, which had AV with RCA 1 and decoder with RCA 2.

If the first RCA doesn't work, just switch the connection on the fly with the other. It takes approximately 3 seconds for the BS2 to respond.

Keep in mind that the spdif -inputs only reacts to DolbyD and DTS signal.

The first BS2 started with 2.2 software and ended with the 2.4 version.

Thank you gentlemen!

Unfortunately the BS2 had (once again) lost all its settings and for some reason it doesn't respond anymore to the MENU, MENU, 3 -> 0, 0, GO command in order to set it up again (using a non-B&O monitor). Does anyone remember the pins from the RS232 to be shorted in order to utilize a regular VGA display?

Apropos: for some reason the sticker on the back of the BS states the software to be SW14.1, whatever that means? The unit itself is one of the very first BS2's and probably is running an ancient software.

Pin2 and Pin3 need to be shorted.

With 14.1 software it isn't one of the first Bs2's.

The first had the older software versions up to 10.4. The same as the avant mkII and BV5, type mk1.

With 14.1 software, you can upgrade to version16.3. From 15.2 and higher it's possible to use different modules (component, DVI's) in the panel itself and naming them in the bs 2 setup.
