My Beotime (the original clock) has started to loose time. Guess the clock parts have just worn out.

Where would I get another that will take the same hands ?

Do you know the make of the original movement?  It should be on the back.  If you know that, you should be able to find out the spindle sizes and find a modern day equivalent (as I believe the original movements are no longer available).  There are dozens of clock parts sellers on the net.  Alternatively, you could try measuring the spindles and find the equivalent.  I know you'll want to keep the original hands and will want to swap them over.

It may even be possible to send the old mechanism to one of this type of company and get them to match the spindle sizes and length for you.

It's odd that it's losing time and I assume a battery change makes no difference?

Dave.

Interesting stuff he works on (older watches) but I think he may cringe at the quartz movement on the Beotime.

The movement on the beotime I have is made by Kienzle quartz Germany.

I will open it up and have a look before replacing it.

OK, you could then try to ask a Kienzle Tech guy a question about an equivalent replacement:

Ths awkward part is the second hand I think from what I've seen so far.

Or, if the calibre number is visible, you could try searching or asking here:

Dave Farr:

Thanks for link. Theres a 30€ charge to use that site.

I will examine the one I have first in detail then go looking for a new one. There is a number on the back but its not recognised on the Kienzle site.

Its 716/300 high torque 12h.

The second hand is indeed an issue for a replacement.

Quartz is no problem what I can see.

I have used his service once, with a Rado. No problems more then find a slot for repair!

Yes, but this is the Beotime clock, not a watch.  It's completely different.
