And Sony is exiting the PC biz and spinning off its TV business, Panasonic and Samsung have dropped all plasmas, etc. Times are hard for all consumer electronic companies, doubly so for smaller firms like B&O that don't have the financial inertia to roll on thru tough economic times. Something I learned in the work world, I started out working for a large engineering firm, when we had a contract end, with thousands of employees, they could afford to hold us for a few months until something else got awarded, or shuffle us off temporarily to another project that was in need of some extra manpower to get over a hump. After that I worked mainly in small companies or small remote offices of larger companies, and every 2-3 years like clockwork a contract would end, the company wouldn't have won anything new, and about 2/3 of us would get laid off.
B&O is in a hard spot size wise, not small enough to survive on a core market of a handful of dedicated fans (aka Linn) and not big enough to be able to afford mistakes in reading the market.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
