Hi everyone!

I have a delicate problem. My current main room TV is a BV 7-40 mk I with a Beolab 7.2 connected to BL 8000 and BL 4000. A week ago I came across a BV 8-40 for a vey good price. Which one should I keep?

I think the 8 has better picture quality (it is Full HD as opposed to the 7). Menus are nicer looking at the 8 and it has built in DVb-T. I use a STB for the 7. Isn't the 7 supposed to be better?!

so in short: which one would you keep?

I'm also tempted to buy a bv8-40 i much prefer it to the v1 design wise and picture wise. Although i would Prefer a much bigger tv i have always liked the picture quality of the bv8-40.

what mk is the one your looking at?

The 8-40 will have a much better picture, and sound wise is about the nearest thing to the original Avant. And that's a good thing.

Plus it had hdmi slots, making the choice of compatible sources much bigger.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

My choice, the 8-40 over the Mk1 7-40. Alternatively you could update your 7-40 panel to a Mk3 and use your existing stand and speaker..
