Hi everyone, I am new to B&O. I just purchased a Beocentre 4600 with a pair of Beovox S35 Speakers on E Bay. I stupidly had a courier company pick it up and bring it to me as it was in Scarborough and i am in Essex, for which i paid £80.00 for. When it arrived I found that everything works including the cassette player and the record player but no sound comes out of it. Even with my i Pod attached to the tape lead at the back. I contacted the seller and he assured me that everything was ok when he (expertly) wrapped it in bubble wrap and sent it. He has offered me my money back but i believe it is something trivial. The front controls are all a bit sticky, especially the 'speaker 1' button but i gently removed it and pushed the plastic nozzle inside and still no sound. Any ideas please?

Hello Martin and all,

I thought I might hijack this thread as I having exactly the same issue with a BC4600.  Record player works perfectly, tape deck works.  Not sure about the tuner, I would guess so.

When I turn it on, no sound at all, no thump and nothing from the speakers, with Speakers 1 pressed and also tried the headphone socket.  Nothing.

Any help would be so useful, thanks

Mike
