Hi David,

You appear to be completely confused, by your statement:

BUT ONLY THE CERTAIN BEOGRAMS CAN DECODE THE EXTRA SIGNAL. SEE THE MAIN DESCRIPTION

Just to clarify - ANY turntable can pass through an SQ-Matrix signal to the PreAmplifier in the BeoMaster, or in any other brand of receiver.

There is NO decoding of an SQ-Matrix signal done by ANY turntable.

You have got your wires crossed between your understanding of an SQ-Matrix signal (which this MMC4000 cartridge picks up), and the True-Quad CD4 "extra" signal, which this MMC4000 is completely incapable of picking up.

The CD4 signal can be picked up by only a cartridge of the Pramanik or Shibata profile, ie MMC6000 or MMC5000.

In fact, to discuss the Beomaster 6000 and Beogram 6000 in connection with your MMC4000 advert is completely misleading. The 6000 system was sold as completely CD4-capable, and your MMC4000 was NEVER sold as part of the 6000 system, because, as I said before, the MMC4000 is completely INCAPABLE of picking up the high-frequency (>30Khz) CD4 signal.
