Hi

I have this amplifier Type 911 H58. Really a nice piece, and i want to restore it to mint condition.

Cabinet is done, PSU is done and the amp is actually running.

My problem is that the wirring is a nightmare, and some of the values  of the resistors and caps

are varnished.

I realy need a schematic.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Carsten

Welcome to Beoworld!

If I remember correctly, this model was also referred to as HiFi Amplifier 607, right ?
If so, drop me an email.

Hi,

very nice and rare amp. And as Ben said, we love the pictures here Smile

But I have another question:

Did you bought your specimen or got it from somebody? I am also looking for this device but I never saw one on ebay, DBA, gulog ... What could be the price actually for this device?

I know it is not easy to say what is a realistic price for such a rare vintage object and I know what Martin will say ("The price is what one is ready to pay")

Smile But maybe you would share it with us, what amount you paid for it.

Thanks in advance and we wait for pics Wink

Hi

The final result. The amp has been playing all sunday afternoon. The more i look at it, and listen to it, the more i love it.

There is a bit 50 Hz hum, but not audible when it plays. I have desided to leave it there to keep it as original as possile.

To The_o_master

I got the amp  from a colleauge, as a part of a amp/speaker deal.  After this deal, i realized how hard it is to get information on this amp.

So i have no idea of a Price, i have never seen a similar for sale.

To finish the setup, the hunt for a music source, and a pair of speakers i now on.

Thanks to Dillen/Martin for support.

Carsten

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing that. There is a lack of information online about many vintage items from this era so it is always good to see some pictures and learn something new.

As Theo said, it is also interesting to know prices, but it seems like you have found something quite special in your swap deal.

I too have never seen one for sale!

Maybe one day Yes - thumbs up

Ben.

Thanks for this beautiful picture Carsten!

Really nice and rarer item! And yours is in extreme good conditions if i may say.

Actually there are only 2 or 3 pictures of this device which can be found world wide if you search with google. I think you made a good deal Yes - thumbs up

Could you post one picture of the back of the device too, please?

I never saw the back side of it. Which plugs are present at the back side of the amp?

Best regards

Hi Carsten,

It is really beautiful piece of B&O history. Thanks a lot for the pics!

I am sure you want to keep this rare device but I will be shameless enough to ask you if there is any chance (or better any price) that you would sell this nice amp?
I presume what your answer would be but I had to try Big Smile

If you interested in any kind of change, I can offer few very nice and rare B&O devices for your amp.
Here one of them, fully restorated (technical and visual) High Fidelity Stereo Amplifier 608.

It would be nice to hear from you...

Best regards,
Theomaster

To Theomaster.

To be honest i have been thinking of a price for this item. No conclusion so far. But why bother, the amp is a keeper.

Then again, earlier i have sold/trade stuff i pomised myselt to keep.

Btw.

Nice amp this High Fidelity Stereo Amplifier 608 especially with Black front.

Do you have the Minette too. ?

Hi Carsten,

thanks for writing back.

As I wrote, I presumed what your answer would be. But if you decide in future to sell or change it, please contact me. Whistle

Actually, I tried to sent you a private message with the same question twice before I post my "shameless" message here. Both times I got it back with error message: "not existing E-Mail Address" (or something like that). If you consider to sell your amp or want to know what I could offer you for change, send me please a PM.

And yes I have both, the black version of High Fidelity Stereo Amp (610) and the Tuner Minette 609K. I think you can find few pictures of them somewhere in my files if you click on my profile...

Best regards

Hi Carsten,

As I am not sure if you are sure with keeping this nice amp Smile I will get the next try:

- you can choose one of those two 610's Big Smile Teak or rosewood?

Waiting for your answer... Whistle
