Hello,
I have a BV11 connected to a BS3000 via NL/ML Converter. The converter and BS3000 has not been connected for a while as recently moved house.
My problem is that on my new network I cannot update the SW. I only get as far as 2% and then I get the below error message: Any idea what can be wrong? There seems to be access to the Internet as it an see the new version and the date and time of the setup page is correct.
Help much appreciated!
You can access the web page?
Ist the converter connected to your network by DHCP or fixed.
I had the same problem once with my fixed adress, It was a wrong DNS adress.

Hi,
Yes I can access the web interface. I have connected via DHCP according to the settings displayed under the network tab (though I am not really sure if DHCP is what I need).
I have a router and a switch between my modem and the NL/ML Converter so likely some wrong settings in the router but I don't know where to start.
The converter has no fixed adress, so its installed DHCP, you say. If you connected it directly to the switch, check your settings of router. Guess you have to make an adjustment in the router, something is blocking it. Or it gets no IP from the router.
For the purpose of updating the NL/ML I have now connected it directly to the modem which also has wifi. I now managed to download 100% and install 100% but in never reboots and in the log it writes "The product is scheduling a lazy reboot..."
Nothing happens, it remains on the old sw version, then checks for a new version which it downloads 100% and trying to install it writes the following in the log: "SoftwareUpdate threw a SWUpdater::ChecksumFailureException: Checksum verification failed"
All very odd - do you have any idea please?
Maybe doing a reset helps, it looks stuck somewhere.
Hello all, Thank you for your help. Somehow the unit just updated itself while connected the same way to the network. For the reference to this forum and other members that may incur the same: what (I think) helped me was to reset the network settings and unplug the unit for a couple of times (though once for a longer period should suffice) and also ensure the network was restarted to be on the safe side. When I then tried to login to the unit it took some time and when I finally got it it had updated (was set to automatic updates).
Thanks for your hep!
DHCP is a good option for easy home networking. But sometimes DHCP gives a new IP after every 8 days by default, could be one of the reasons why it went off. Using a static gives you the only advantage of a fixed address and some more security in your network, more control. But it does not goes faster as sometimes people think.
