I just sold my Beocenter 2 to make room for a Moment.
When I removed it from the netwok, I realize I need to configure the NL/ML Converter.
My setuo before removing the BC2 was the following:
Now when the BC2 is gone, I want to access the Radio source on the TV from my Link speakers, but nothing happens. (It plays over the BL11 when I press RADIO in the main room)
I tried to change the NL/ML converter role to both A.master and AV.Master but no change. (It was V.Master when the BC2 was in the network.
Does it matter that the ML socket that use to be connected to the BC2 is empty (not connected to anything)?

mjmedlo:Unplug everything from the mains for 10 minutes. Then call the NL converter a slave.
My dealer tells me that BL2000 will not be possible to use unless there are a ML Audiomaster present in the system.
But my BL3500 should work. It has SW 2.0. But its totally dead.
Do I need SW 2.1?
w5bno123:Hi The NL/ML convertor still needs to be the video master and the sources listed on the BeoVision 11 need to be set as video sources and not audio commands.

I´ve set the NL/ML as V.Master. In the view "Sources visible on ML" the ML Audios Sources are greayed out, and the video sources are not. Is that what you mean?

His answer seems very logical to me.You want to access the TV's radio source from a link room.
If you are actually watching or listening to another source on your TV at the very moment, how would you start a second source on this TV. You cannot have access to two different sources at the same time coming from a TV if its not in standby.
(Don't forget its still ML, means one source at the same time around the bus. And your TV, with converter is only integrating with the ML). A NL bus in future will be different (NL TV, NL Moment, NL Essence,...) will have the possibility all to have different sources. Software to make this fully possible is promised in summer.
But you need a workaround. First you take a BEO4 who can give the command DTV2, A-DTV2...
Important! You can not assign the remote's radio button to the TV radio source anymore. Asign a new button for the TV's radio source for example DTV2 (it has to be a video source button). Next do the following in the converter: (Stay on V-master, No problem with a loose ML-connector.)
IR mapping: DTV2 > Beovision11 > Radio
Experience mapped to NL: Radio > check off the mark (very important!)
Sources visible on ML: DTV2 > Beovision11 > Radio
It should work now when you push the button DTV2 on your TV & BL 3500. Remember if changing sources on the TV itself, the Radio will also be lost in the link, (! Only 1 source can be activated at the same time on your BV !)
The BL2000, (old software for DTV2?) but you can make it part of the ML by pushing these commands: the Mute button if the BL3500 allready plays, or first Mute and then choose DTV2, if nothing is playing (or maybe A-DTV2 is also working, give it a try on the BL2000, I haven't tryed).
Now it should work, remember it takes some time before you hear your TV radio source. The NL source needs some more time to start in comparison to the ML audiomaster.

Thanks for the very comprehensive answer Chris!
I will have a go at it hopefully this evening.
I think part of the problem is that I have to remove the NL/ML Converter from the BV11 product integration, and add it back on again. Otherwise the NL/ML think there is still a BC2 in the setup.
Again, thanks for taking your time with such a elaborate answer.
It gives me hope
NO, no problem with that convertor it all depends on adding as a video source. I can go back and forth without any disconnecting here.
EDIT: A-DTV2 works for me as a command for BL2000 and Passive.

thats correct in this setting. Be sure you have UN-checked the RADIO box in "Experience mapped to NL".
And assign the right source to the right IR command in the tab: "IR Mapping"
Did you asign also in your TV menu (not the converter), check it!
EDIT: check on menu > radio must be DTV2
and the radio text must be disappeared within the ML part
Put power off converter, wait a few moments and put it back in. Let it restart...
Above pics are the same as mine, it works over here: (V1, BV3, ML/NL converter, Passive and BL2000) in a ML link
Hiort, do you have something connected to the USB of the NL/ML converter (the 000.000.000@.......... IP address in your setup).
Maybe you should do a reset of the NL/ML converter. Something is going wrong there!

Don't let him loose all settings, just power Off & On will be enough!

The answer was given earlier but seems to have been overlooked
MasterLink only works when you have a "Current Master" on the ML to supply the voltage/power for ML to function, that used to be your BC2 but now that's gone you are missing that for ML to work
Only audio systems with ML or Video products with ML can act as the Current Master, the only exception is the old BeoLink converter AUX/ML that can also do the job, but without it your masterlink system will not work
Sorry for the bad news, hope this helps to get the problem sorted out for you
So the power on or off had no change to the good. Hior, don't give up hope!
Did you asign also in your TV menu (not the converter), as I asked... check it!
check on TV menu > radio must be DTV2
- Can you start the radio on your TV with the command DTV2? Do you hear it playing?
- Have you been trying on the BL2000 or only on BL3500?
Set-up button in small hole aside the light; try a factory reset and reprogramme the BLC

NOT true - the NL/ML converter takes this over

Hmmm...
This is really key to sort out. Who can reconfirm either of these statements?
Sorry I'm 100% sure I'm correct, the NL/ML can be configured as "Audio Master" or "Video Master" but that is not the same as "Current master" and the NL/ML BLC can not currently take on that task
I've personally tested and confirmed this is to be true (currently)

Hiort:Disapointing. But saves me a lot of work. What is the simplest "current master" I could get? Thinking of adding a Beocenter 6 to my link room, replacing the BL3500. Could that serve RADIO over the link system? Happy owner of: BV11 46", NL/ML Converter, 2 x Beocom 2, Beocom 6000, Beocenter 2, Beolab 3, Beolab 2000, Beo4, Beolab 11, Playmaker, Beolab 3500, 2 x Beolit 12
Sure - if you added a TV with ML (would be v option 2 in your case) then you have the "Current Master" covered and now you can make the NL/ML BLC your "Audio Master" and now you can activate the line-in from the BLC on your ML and NL rooms (just login to the BLC and map the line-in to a source command of your choice that's compatible with your exciting ML system
You could also choose to route the sound thru the ML TV and distribute that way, but then you would have to deal with delay/Ecco between ML and NL rooms (you could also pull the sound from your NL TV)
The simplest "Current Master" is the old AUX-ML Converter this would do the trick also (just remember to power reset it after you configure your NL/ML BLC role as Audio Master) as depend on what version you have it can auto configure it self as either a Audio master or Video master based on what it sees already excist on the ML
Really endless possibilities :-)
hope the info is helpful
Thanks everyone for providing inputs for my problems/challenges.
I thought it would be useful to summarize some of the findings, for others thinking of replacing their Audiomaster with a Moment:
Back to my specific configuration:
Adding the Beolink Converter will solve my number one usecase:
Pick up whatever is played out on the Master link, on either BL3500 or BL2000.
Number two usecase is being checked by B&O:
Press RADIO on the remote in linkroom, and have the "Radio source" on Moment (integrated to a BV11) to play out on the ML.
I have confirmed with my dealer that a Moment integrated with a BV11 respond correctly on a RADIO command from a BEO4. Its possible to configure CD to trigger e.g MUSIC on Moment.
Question is still if the Moment will react to a RADIO (or CD) command sent from ML over a NL/ML converter, over the BV11. As said above, the question is sent to B&O support.
Update on my issue:
Added a Beolink Converter type 1611 instead of the Audiomaster i removed. Just plugged in the ML connection I used for the BC2.
Now everything works as before:
I can press TV on my remote from a linkroom and play TV sound over BL3500.
I can join music played from A.AUX source from NL/ML converter (from my Playmaker) from linkrooms. (Pushing PLAY buttion on BL2000 or MUTE on BL3500).
I still cannot access anything played from Moment. Moment is not putting anything out on the Masterlink (or NL/ML converter is not). As I understand replies from B&O Customer Service, this will be fixed in the upcoming "multi room release" .
@Hiort - they are working hard on that!
Please be patient.
