Hi folks -
I´m up with the choice of buying a 1900 or 3500, interested to hear if anyone has a viewpoint or recommendation? They´re going for about 50€ each, I believe each in good working order.
I´ve read everything I can about each of them, but still not quite clear which one would be better. I actually have another 1900 here I could use for spare parts, so that might be a dealbreaker... Are parts from the 1900 useful in the 3500?
Thanks, Nataniel.
Hi NatanielThe 1900 and the 3500 has absolutely nothing in common, besides the basic shape. The 1900 is much older than the 3500.The 1900 has light bulbs instead of LED's. (Those bulbs will need replacing at some point)The 3500 can be remote controlled - the 1900 cannot. You can use active speakers (Beolab) with the 3500 as it have Powerlink sockets.
As the 1900 is older it is more likely to have some technical issues, if it have never been serviced. But you can never be sure - the 3500 could have been on for more hours than the older one. You can never know...
When you buy 20-40 years old Electronics you must be prepaired for some technical issues. If not now, maybe in two months - or two years - or...
Advice: Go for the 3500. As you already have a 1900, then why not repair that..? Then you have two beautiful receivers. (I have both) " />
