I think I know the answer to this question, but in case I am missing something....Am installing a new pair of Beolab 12-3s as rears to replace my 4000s. I have in wall Power Link that was installed 10 years ago. When I connect the 12-3s to it, they buzz. I believe that is due to an older version of Power Link. The only two solutions I see are run new Power Link lines, or have Steve at Sounds Heavenly make an adapter cable from old Power Link to New Power Link with old connector on one end and new connector on the other end.
Any other solution I am missing?

perhaps wireless transmitter and receiver could be the answer?

For a good fix I would go with the Wirless Receiver, and if you want to and only if you want to perhaps explore a different wiring in your walls. But before you did that, I would just get one wire, a short one attach it to your TV and then to your Lab 12s just to see if it is a wire / cable issue.
Razlaw:Considered wireless, but with one of the speakers there is no good place to conceal the receiver. Seems simpler to try to conceal just wires, rather than a receiver also, given my room's configuration.
Good Choice!
And good luck!
At least you know now that the Wireless Receivers are good. I'm kind of lucky that there is somewhere to hide them.
I did audition the BL18s as rears but I didn't think they were any better than my current BL3s. So i kept the BL3s and added the wireless receivers.
Thanks for the all of the advice! And information.
