If you connect a Playmaker or an Airport Express to AUX connection of a BS5/BS9000/BC2/Ouverture you have to press A.AUX (or A.TAPE) on Beo4, a 'switchon-command' can't be send via AUX-cable.

I also guess it won't be possible to make an IDevice send IR-commands. Some time ago I read about a device to receive WLAN commands from an IDevice and then send IR commands to TVs. But with such a device you'll have the problem to get a B&O compatible command (B&O remotes use different frequency than other TVs for IR codes).

So I guess you have to declair defeat!

Thank you all for good answers!

I've decided to stick to my two set-ups, as I'm extremely happy with the fact that Playmaker fires up my BL5's as soon as I hit the Play-button on my iPhone/AirPlay.

From time to time I miss more powerful sound from the TV speaker. But the BL10 is quite good. Of course an extra set of Beolabs connected to the TV would be awsome, but my wife would kill me then...

Do you BeoExperts think that it could help to change the BL10 for a BL7-6??

Would something like the almondo powerlink Switch work, 2 audio in and one powerlink to the BL5s?

not tried one so no idea if they are any good.

Pulling up an old thread again. I am still looking for a way to have my BV5 switch on "audio-only" when playing airplay. Similar to the BV senses it with the BC2 when playing an audio cd.

I fully understand from this thread that neither the playmaker nor the moment will get me there.

What about an Essence or a BS5 (with airplay-enabled http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/14541.aspx)?

I have not read the whole tread, but my solution is to use picture.mute when air playing to the Apple TV. I got my dealer to program my Beo5 to send the macro command DTV-Speaker2-p.mute when I press the spotify logo.

Why not start the BV with AV-DTV? Should activate your BV in audio mode ( panel staying off)

Works with Beo4/5/6. Beolink 1000, Beolink app...

BV should be set to V.OPT 2 or 6 ( if it works as link TV)

Thanks for your replies. That's actually what I currently do. Two issues: it does not work as well with the BROne and also it does require me to use a second remote / click. I am quite desperate just to click on airplay-to and have things running.

Speakers are currently connected to my tv. Av-ATV will send the sound to my beomaster (no speakers). Anyway, digital sound sources does not travel over master link. (?)

What about my idea to buy a BS5 or Essence? Both should allow to connect to my BV via ML, which supports sense? So once the audio signals hits the BV, the speakers turn on, while the screen stays off? Am I missing something or is this indeed the silver bullet to finally send airplay to my BV without the need to turn it on?

ATV connected to which BV ?

Set your BM to A.OPT 0 and the BV to V.OPT 2. If both devices are masterlinked it will work.

BM5500. It doesn't do opt.0 :(

Been thinking about changing it for a Bs3000

Ok. BS3000 will do A.OPT 0, BM6500,7000 via BL converter also.
